A worshipper at heart with a desire to lead others in a passionate worship experience, Daniel Harrison was a born leader. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1987. From an early age, it was apparent that he would do great things for God. After God miraculously saved him from a drug dealer’s gun shot at point blank range, Daniel began to step into his calling. He started by playing his guitar and worshipping God in a private setting with no real foresight of what would come. He began to lead worship at a local youth group and God begin to promote him quickly.
Daniel is now the worship leader of Church212º. He has sung in front of as many as 12,000 people in the Philippines and as few as 12 people in a small group setting. He is married to Heather Harrison and together, they have a son named Heshmon. Daniel is a Christian songwriter and has produced a worship record with a compilation of his songs. Daniel has his songs available with music, charts, and instructional videos for worship leaders and worship teams at his website: danielsworship.com.
Daniel and his wife, Heather, have been the youth pastors for The Rising since October 2010. They have a special passion for young people in helping them realize that God has called the young to rise up and do great things for His kingdom. Daniel teaches young people that now is the time to grow into the men and women that God has called them to be. That is why Paul said, "When I was a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became an adult, I reasoned like an adult." Teenagers have a big stamp of low expectations on their lives and most of them believe it. At The Rising, we work hard on instilling biblical knowledge and confidence to stand up as those called of God and equipped to fulfill their purpose through Christ. At The Rising, we participate in crowd events, community outreaches, world outreaches, and in home fellowships. We believe that unity among the body of Christ is important in growing a healthy disciple of Jesus Christ.
