Asian Outreach | India, Bhutan, Nepal

outreachThe Kingdom of Bhutan has 2.7 million people in it and only .0007% of them have received the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nepal is the only Hindu Kingdom. Christianity is banned in that country. West Bengal, India is a very large state of 81 million people and is only .03% Christian. This is in the heart of the 10/40 window and is the target of Agape International’s next gospel work. Because of the sensitivity of what we are doing and where, we are not giving our exact location or the exact times that we are going there but in the next month we will be doing God’s work there.

Our strategy is simple. We are planting Bible schools and Churches throughout that region. We will be reaching over 500 pastors and leaders in a convention in India. Even now preparations are being made for this huge event. Pastors and their leaders will come from all three nations to be energized, filled with the Spirit and given tools to reach their communities for Christ. Following this convention, we will drive into Nepal where we will work with the Nepali refugee’s who are living in miserable condition. There are about 100,000 who fled from Bhutan to get away from the harsh requirements of the King of Bhutan.

We will be preaching the gospel in this place. We will then head very far north to the border of China and India to teach pastors and leaders and equip them and encourage them to fight the good fight of faith. After this we will head to a border town of Bhutan, on the Indian side where we will be planting our Agape School of Ministry at a facility their. Students will eat, sleep and live there 24 hours a day to be taught the Word of God. They will be taught 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for three months. When we are finished with the Bible School location, we will drive into Bhutan itself. Bhutan is a very closed nation and needs much prayer. There is strong demonic influence there and the Tibetan Buddhism religion is very dominant. It controls the whole nation. We will meet in secret locations to train leaders and encourage Christians from house to house. Pray for us as we enter this nation to preach the everlasting gospel.

We have goals to plant churches and Bible Schools all around the globe through our very own Agape Ministries.

Agape Ministries was founded by Dr. Mike and Stephanie Harrison in 1982 in Cullman, Alabama. Since then, Agape Ministries has started many churches in the Southeast United States as well as several Bible Schools. Thousands have been saved and many marriages have been put back together through Dr. Mike and Stephanie Harrison’s teaching on the family.

Agape Ministries has moved its headquarters to Palm Desert, California where the vision of church-planting has been rejuvenated though our newest church plant – Church212º!

The Mission America Coalition (MAC) is an unprecedented Coalition of Christian leaders who prayerfully come together to mobilize the Church for praying, caring and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in deed and word.

Since its inception, leaders from 81 denominations, over 350 ministries and dozens of ministry networks have been involved in the Coalition. MAC calls for active participation in The Great Commission of Jesus Christ to “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19) and our Lord’s Great Commandment to “Love the Lord your God...and love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37, 39).

John and Martine have traveled the world preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, the unreached and also to the believer! They have carried God's Healing, Miracle power to over 25 Nations and have seen God do many notable miracles of healing. Since they founded JSMI in 1998, John Smithwick Ministries International has seen over One Million Souls come to Christ.

John and Martine have especially focused on Thailand, where less than 1% have received the gospel and most have still not had a gospel witness. Since starting ministry there, their ministry has seen over 50,000 come to Christ there and they are committed to Church planting and evangelism training. John and Martine also have a powerful equipping ministry here in the United States, where they minister in churches across the country and are working with Churches to reach a great harvest of the new generation in the school systems.
